David L. Sword
Senior Lecturer, Emeritus
David Sword joined the faculty of the Department of Theatre and Dance at Santa Clara University in 1994. Previously he was the Technical Director for the Yale Repertory Theater and was on the faculty of the Yale School of Drama in New Haven, Connecticut.
David received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Drama from Yale University in 1990 with a focus in Technical Design and Production. In addition to providing technical and production oversight for departmental productions, David taught courses in Production, Technical Design, and Sound Design and supervised the scene shop where the scenery for departmental productions is built.
He retired from SCU and was granted Emeritus status in Spring 2021.
