Andrea Casas : 2016 Women in Leadership : SJSV Chamber of Commerce
Andrea Casas, a finance major and economics minor of the Class of 2017, was a recipient of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce 2016 Women in Leadership Grant. This annual grant is awarded to three women who are working full-time while going to school.
“We are proud to not only support these tenacious women on their career paths but also celebrate them among their peers,” said Matthew Mahood, SJSV Chamber President & CEO in a recent article.
“I am honored to have been awarded the Women in Leadership Scholarship from the San Jose Chamber of Commerce,” said Casas in the same article. “Recognizing young women who demonstrate leadership qualities is very important because leading roles are more often than not male dominated. This scholarship helps give women like myself the leverage to become the top leaders we strive to be.”
