Leavey School of Business Welcomes Joshua Rosenthal as new Assistant Dean for Graduate Business Programs

The Leavey School of Business will advance its Graduate Business Programs under the leadership of new Assistant Dean, Joshua Rosenthal, Ed.D.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (August 26, 2022) 

A highly experienced graduate business school recruiter, admissions expert, and student services professional will become the new Assistant Dean of Graduate Business Programs at the Leavey School of Business (LSB) at Santa Clara University.

Most recently, Joshua Rosenthal, Ed.D. was the Interim Director of Admissions at Saint Mary's College of California, Graduate School of Business. In the past, Joshua has also worked at National University as their Online Center Director and Argosy University as their Associate Director. 

“We are very excited to welcome Joshua to the Bronco family,” Nydia MacGregor, Associate Dean of Graduate Business Programs said. “I am confident that our graduate students and the entire LSB community will benefit from his energy, expertise in admissions and recruiting, and commitment to transforming students’ lives via graduate business education.”

While at Saint Mary's College of California, Graduate School of Business, he oversaw the recruiting and admissions for the MBA programs, MS programs and the EDBA program. Within his 8 years of being the Associate Director of Admissions, Joshua assisted and lead multiple strategies, including:

  • Incorporating a new MSA Boot-camp into the MSA program to assist students with the opportunity to utilize federal financial aid
  • Assisting in launching the MS Business Analytics program and the Executive D.B.A. program
  • Designing and implementing new admission processes to assist with workflow
  • Redesigning the scholarship allocation

Joshua also engaged community members through outreach to establish new partnerships. He worked with advisory board members with curriculum suggestions and updates. He also assisted Program Directors with curriculum and programming ideas to help launch new degree programs. Joshua has served on several service committees and boards: Staff Council, College Enrollment, Workforce Planning, D.E.I. and various task forces to assist with community and admission strategy. Currently, he serves on the President's Advisory Committee for Whittier College. 

Joshua has facilitated workshops on leadership, communication, and conflict resolution. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Organizational Behavior Dept at Saint Mary's College of California. Joshua holds an Ed.D from Argosy University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and received his Bachelor's degree from Whittier College.
