Julian Cabrera: Outside the Classroom
Through this fellowship I have seen the real world applications of my classes. I have seen different management styles, ways to market a brand, and how to keep track of finances. I learned the theory of all of these concepts in class but seeing the real world application of them is something exciting and different.
As a business student I am happy to put into practice what I have learned so far. I feel ecstatic every time I am able to contribute in a meaningful way. But this fellowship is more than just applying classroom concepts into real world situations. Through this fellowship I have been able to more deeply understand concepts that I otherwise would not have without the fellowship.
I am excited that I will now be helping in setting up a new grant initiative. Through this new grant the city will be helping several business districts in their efforts to promote businesses in their localities. I hope to apply everything that I have learned into this new endeavor.
