The school year is coming to an end in two weeks. Sadly, my fellowship at Cristo Rey High School is also coming to an end.

At the beginning of the fellowship, I was really worried about my ability. But, throughout the past two quarters, I got really comfortable with the Cristo Rey Work Study team and I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet so many kind and passionate individuals. Everyday, when I walk into the school I see beautiful smiles and it’s really fun to see the students joking around. There are also times where I feel old…Can you believe that the incoming first year students are born in year 2003!?

Going back to the topic. I just want to express my gratitude with the blog post because I can feel myself improving slowly and making memories at CRSJ. I have been challenging myself by asking questions, taking on projects, and flagging down busy coworkers. It’s amazing to see how a school operates from the administration side and to see a glimpse of the busy 12 hours work day.

After this fellowship, I am more drawn to the nonprofit sector. As of now, I plan to expand my horizon and skills with more job opportunities and eventually I want to go into nonprofit sector.

Just a bit more about my future plans, I have a summer internship with an accounting firm.

I have learn more about my work styles, strengths, and weaknesses through the fellowship. I’m excited to go into my internship with what I gained from the fellowship. For senior year, I plan to go back to CRSJ as a volunteer.
