Tuesday, 10/04, Coffee Chat with AlphaSights, 10-12, Lucas 125 - Grab a coffee in between classes and chat with representatives from AlphaSights about their Associate Client Services Role. Tuesday, 10/04, Hack the Hiring Process with LinkedIn, 12-1, Virtual - Jeremy Schifeling and Omar Garriott led education marketing at LinkedIn, so they saw first-hand how powerful a tool LinkedIn is for students and alumni going after the world's most competitive jobs. Now, they've compiled all the most effective techniques they learned inside LinkedIn to help you do the same in your own career. Monday, 10/03, Career Advisor Social Hour, Drop by Career Answers/Coaching, 12:30 - 1:30, Lucas Hall Lobby - Noel Kreidler, the Career Center Career Development Specialist for Business & Entrepreneurship is hosting weekly drop by Career Advisor Social Hours in the Lucas Hall Lobby.  These drop by times are an opportunity to get your career questions answered in a casual environment, and no appointment is necessary.  Our second Career Advisor Social Hour of the Fall quarter will be held on Mon. 10/03, 12:30 - 1:30.  Find more information on Handshake here. Be on the lookout for a Handshake invite and other just-in-time reminders as the date approaches.   

Wednesday, 10/05, Breaking into Tech: Non-Tech Roles, 11:30 - 1:00, Williman Room - Join us for our very first panel titled, "Breaking into Tech" (Non Tech Roles) which is designed to engage students interested in learning more about non technical roles in the tech industry. Refreshments will be provided.

There will be a panel of speakers followed by a networking session. Panelists will provide insight about the different pathways students can take to break into tech and how to be successful. Register here.

Panelists will include: Isabella Draskovic HR at Google, Grace Ling Product Design at Electronic Arts, Karyn Nguyen Finance at Cisco, Elizabeth Ward IP Attorney at NetApp. 

Tuesday, 10/11, Resume Lab: Telling Your Professional Story, 12:15 - 1:15, Williman Room (Benson Center)  REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - Attend this highly interactive session to gain greater familiarity with using VMock, the Career Center’s 24/7 AI resume platform. Prepare for the upcoming Career Fair BASH, complete a resume assignment for class, get started with creating a resume or make your existing resume better!

We’ll start with 1hr of formal content sharing and workshopping (12:15-1:15pm), plus an additional 30 min of optional workshopping time (1:15pm-1:45pm) with Career Center staff support. Leave the session with a tangible (digital) new/improved resume draft!  Space is limited, so please register here and see additional information in Handshake.
