Charged Abstraction

Charged abstraction consists of ceramic sculptures that are created with a socially conscious intention utilizing sophisticated personal visual language. This show features the work of Jennifer Brazelton, Cameron Crawford, Shenny  Cruces, Bill Heiderich, Tiffany Schmierer, Shannon Sullivan, and Susan Whitmore.

World and Wings

Wanda Sullivans' paintings are conceptionally based on landscapes, landscape principles, and a concern for climate change. She strives for a conglomeration of weather, light, color, and texture; all combined into an abstract pictorial space containing vague references to organic and fundamental landscape characteristics such as horizon lines. Sullivan uses circles to allude to the world or remains of worlds.

Dreams in the Midst of a Nightmare

Many of the components in Carol Collins' photo collages come from happier days, including ravens and landscape elements from camping in Death Valley, and a photo of ruins of an old chateaux. Collin's sees this project as a challenge to create something meaningful from her suffering, while she longed for her old life back.

Photographic Stories told from The Rwanda Orphanage Project

The photographs in this exhibition are featured works produced by several students at Rwanda Orphanage Project in Kigali, Rwanda. After composing their self-portraits and hand-coloring their prints, each student crafted a sentence in Kinyarwanda (their native language) that compared a dominant part of their body to another object.
