The New York Times interviewed Andrea Pappas (Art and Art History) about the upcoming exhibition at the American Folk Art Museum, "Locating Girlhood: Place and Identity in Early American Schoolgirl Art." Andrea's influential scholarship appears throughout the catalogue, to which she contributed the Afterword. In it, she discusses the contribution of the exhibition and the catalogue authors to scholarship on embroidery, as well as suggesting directions for future research.
