D’Angelo Castillo ’23

When he is not teaching Sunday School or wearing various other hats at his church, D’Angelo is in the final year of a master’s program in speech-language pathology.

I was a Classical Languages and Literatures minor and graduated in 2023.

Right now I’m in the final year of my masters in speech-language pathology. I’m doing an internship at a school for kids with autism, and next semester I will be interning at the Alum Rock school district.

Aside from school, I’m very involved at my church. I am a Sunday school teacher and leader for our Wednesday night club for elementary age boys. I’m also a student leader in the college group. This year, I’m the director for our children’s Christmas musical. I also volunteer at a summer camp called Koinonia (yes, as in the Greek word for “fellowship”) for a couple weeks each summer.

Last Christmas I also visited the Parthenon in Nashville, TN. This summer, I visited Ireland with my siblings. I got to go inside a burial mound older than the pyramids and visit an island where endangered Atlantic puffins nest.
