Grace Martinez
"Hi! I’m Grace and I’m from Petaluma, CA. I am graduating in June with a triple major in Political Science, History, and Classics. Coming to Santa Clara I knew I needed to take a language course to fulfill my core requirements. I decided to take Latin since I have always been interested in it and my high school did not offer it. Since then, I have taken numerous Classics courses, with my favorite being Roman Bath and Body Works. I really liked the cultural and scientific aspects of that class - it was also always fun to talk about with my friends. I also really loved continuing with the Latin courses, my favorites were the Aeneid and Ovid’s Metamorphoses. I got to do a summer internship with Biola University working on translating and coding Latin epigraphy from Italy. After graduation I hope to move to Washington D.C. to work on Capitol Hill as a staffer for a member of Congress. I also hope to attend law school in a few years."
