Hallie Mullane Bodey

Hallie Mullane Bodey

Hallie Mullane (Née Bodey) ’12

Having earned two masters degrees, Hallie currently works on extracurricular and co-curricular programming primarily in Global Education and International Student Services at SCU.

Many times, when Hallie Mullane (Née Bodey) '12 was a student, she was asked "Will you actually ever use Latin though?" And, guess what - In her career, Hallie has twice provided Certified Translations of Latin. So, yes(!).

Hallie attended Columbia University for a Master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and Applied Linguistics (TESOLAL) following her Classical Studies degree at SCU. Hallie entered the program expecting to move to Japan and teach English. However, during her time at Columbia, she discovered a deep passion for immigration and cultural exchange. This led to a shift towards education administration and higher education. Since then, Hallie has spent over 10 years working on extracurricular and co-curricular programming primarily in Global Education and International Student Services at Columbia University, Stanford University, and now, at Santa Clara School of Law. (Did you know that Santa Clara Law has the largest Law study abroad program in the US?). Hallie has also earned a second Master's in Educational Leadership from Santa Clara University School of Education and Counseling Psychology. She has presented nationally on AI & Higher Education Administration, the future of Education, and a variety of topics related to co-curricular and international education.

Hallie met her spouse, Ryan Mullane, when she was a senior at SCU and he was a first year law student. They married in 2021 and welcomed a child in 2024. Their son proudly attends "Kids on Campus" at Santa Clara University. They are often looking for phenomenal babysitters(!) and live walking distance to campus.

Hallie is particularly interested in supporting students who are seeking careers in Higher Education Administration or in the legal field.
