Thao Nguyen received his Ph.D. at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. His research interests focus on interreligious dialogue, inculturation, missiology, and ecclesiology. His dissertation “A New Way of Being Church for Mission: Asian Bishops and Asian Catholic Women in Dialogue” presents the Asian Bishop’s new vision of the church in Asia and envisions the future of the church as a whole throughout the world. His current research focuses on the religious, cultural, and dialogical dynamics in the transformation of French Notre-Dame des Victoires into Our Lady of Lavang in a postcolonial Vietnam. Nguyen teaches courses on Jesus Across Cultures and Asian Religious Traditions at Santa Clara University.
