By enrolling in the Blue Shield PPO Health Plan, employees will have access to enroll in a Health Savings Account (HSA). An HSA allows employees to set aside money through payroll deduction to pay for qualified healthcare expenses for employees and their dependents. SCU will contribute $25 per paycheck as long as the employee enrolls in $50 annual contribution
- Maximum Annual Election for Employee Only - $3,650
- Maximum Annual Election for Family - $7,300
- Catch Up Contributions (Age 55 or older) - $1,000
- Members cannot be enrolled in the HSA if they are over the age of 65 and enrolled in Medicare.
