If you are eligible to receive holiday pay, you need to work both the workday before and the workday following the scheduled holiday in order to receive holiday pay. This requirement does not apply if the day before and/or the day following the holiday have been previously approved paid days off, or if you were not normally scheduled to work those days.
Administrative Closure Days
At the discretion of the President of the University, other paid days off may be declared on a one-time basis. These additional paid days off are considered administrative closure days. In 2026, the University anticipates observing the Winter Break administrative closure between Monday, December 21, 2026, and Friday, January 1, 2027, reopening campus offices on Monday, January 4, 2027.
