Professional Activity
In 2026, the Faculty Affairs Committee recommended, and the Provost and deans approved, guidance for teaching-line faculty regarding activities that are, may be, and are not regarded as professional activity. Further work will follow to revise the definition of professional activity in Faculty Handbook 3.4A.1.1, and to develop discipline-specific standards in light of the definition.
