System Requirements
Apple has announced the following models will support macOS Monterey when it is released:
- MacBook (Early 2016 and later)
- MacBook Air (Early 2015 and later)
- MacBook Pro (Early 2015 and later)
- Mac mini (Late 2014 and later)
- iMac (Late 2015 and later)
- iMac Pro (2017 and later)
Software Compatibility
Please note some new Apple computers use a CPU designed by Apple instead of an Intel CPU. These computers require a program called Rosetta in order to run software designed to run on an Intel CPU. Most major software companies are working on software that will run on these Apple CPU's natively so they won't need Rosetta, but this may take several months or longer. Most current software will run fine with Rosetta.
