CPA Professionals meet Sophomores at Accounting Career Fair
On February 15, 2018, SCU held its first career fair for sophomores interested in learning about CPA firm summer leadership programs and internships. 52 students met with representatives from 14 CPA firms, including Abbott Stringham & Lynch, Andersen Tax, Armanino, BDO, BPM, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Frank, Rimerman + Co., KPMG, Moss Adams, Novogradac, PwC, RSW, and Sensiba San Filippo.
The career fair lasted from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Locatelli Center. Several of the firms returned during the week of March 5-9 to interview these students for positions in their summer leadership and diversity internship programs.
The SCU Accounting Association will hold its annual Meet-The Firms Night on Thursday, September 27 (during the second week of the fall quarter). Last year, over 140 professionals from 28 firms met with over 180 sophomore, junior, senior, and certificate students to discuss internship and full-time positions at their firms. Interviews for internship and full-time positions at CPA firms occur in mid-October each year.
