Meet the Firms

The SCU Accounting Association (SCUAA) hosted the annual Meet-the-Firms Night on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 5 - 7 PM. Due to Covid considerations, this accounting career fair was held outside on the Mission Garden lawns.

The SCU Accounting Association (SCUAA) hosted the annual Meet-the-Firms Night outside in the Mission Gardens on September 28, 2021. Over 100 students registered to attend and converse with the sixteen professional accounting and consultancy firms listed below.

All accounting and A&IS majors (first year through seniors) who have not yet accepted an accounting internship or full time position, as well as current CAAP students and recent CAAP students that have not yet accepted accounting positions, are invited to attend.  In preparation for MTF, the SCUAA hosted a well-attended resume workshop where officers answered questions and provided guidance on attire and professional interactions with firm representatives.

Feedback on MTF from both firms and students was positive, especially regarding the outside venue.  One firm commented, “… very well organized event outdoors! Our professionals loved the set up and we had many wonderful students come by.”

Students also remarked “The location was great given the current circumstances”. In addition, the majority of students were highly satisfied with the number of firms that attended and over 50% of students interacted with 6-10 firms.

Several faculty including Siqi Li, Yongtae Kim, Matthew Cedergren, and Stacey Ritter joined the event to reacquaint with firm professionals and students. CAAP Program Director, Toni Santillan, also attended along with 16 CAAP alumni/students who registered for the event.  A special thank you to the SCUAA officers (Chloe Scocimara-President, Jack Hirsch-MTF lead and Treasurer, Karlise Loza-Firm Relations, Haley Wilson-Student Relations, Bryce Otsuka-Photographer, Melanie Cooper-Setup, and Isabelle He-Setup) for hosting a successful in person MTF event just one week after returning to campus.
