The SCU Economics Student Association is a student organization dedicated to offering networking opportunities to economics majors and minors in both the College of Arts and Sciences and the Leavey School of Business. The association organizes informal and formal events and activities that are designed to help students build relationships with professors, alumni, potential employers, and each other.
During the 2017-2018 school year, the association put on a series of events geared toward students. We held an informational panel, where current students, alumni, and graduate students discussed their experiences outside of the classroom in the workforce or graduate school. We held an ice cream social for majors and minors to meet each other in a casual environment. And finally, we hosted numerous officer meetings as well as opportunities for involvement.
I am a senior Economics major with a Public Health Sciences minor. Outside of the association, I am a Women's Rowing Captain and Hackworth Fellow.
I am a junior majoring in environmental science and economics. I love to play the guitar, read a nice novel and cook a vegan meal. My favorite part of SCU is all the interesting people!
I’m a junior, majoring in Finance and Economics, minoring in Retail Studies. I have been a seller at Mercari and Poshmark since 2014, and I would love to have my own clothing or beauty store in the future.
I am a fourth-year economics major and philosophy minor. My favorite issue to learn about in economics is international development and policy, something I got to study more in depth while abroad in Germany. After college, I intend on attending law school.
