OMBA 2023 US News Ranking

SCU’s Online MBA Program Ranked No. 37 Nationally, Second in California

Newest rankings from U.S. News & World Report place Leavey School of Business as No. 2 Online MBA in California, while Online MS Programs rank No. 3 in state, No. 38 nationally.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (January 24, 2023) 

Santa Clara University’s online business programs have again been recognized among the best in the nation in newly released rankings from U.S. News & World Report. The Leavey School of Business Online MBA program was named the No. 2 program in California and in an extraordinary showing, jumped 25 places for a No. 37 national placement. Also earning a top spot, the Online MS programs were named No. 3 in California and No. 38 nationally.

Several of the Online MBA program specialties also earned high marks in the annual list from the national ranking authority:

  • Finance (No. 8)
  • Analytics (No. 10)
  • Management (No. 12)

“The Leavey School of Business is proud to be one of the west coast’s leading online programs, allowing us to deliver the benefits of a Santa Clara business education to professionals across the nation,” Dean Ed Grier said. 

This newest ranking comes on the heels of last month’s No. 9 placement by Poets&Quants for the Online MBA program, which rounds out the graduate business school’s top-ranked MBA curriculum including the No. 13 Executive MBA (U.S. News) and the No. 19 Evening MBA (U.S. News).

“We’re pleased to see this continued growth for our online programs,” Assistant Dean of Graduate Business Programs, Joshua Rosenthal said. “There is much to be excited about in this newest recognition, especially an 11 spot jump for our MS programs as well as the first-time recognition for our Management concentration.”

The Online MBA features a unique program theme centered around its location in the heart of Silicon Valley, emphasizing the development of students’ skills for innovation in the tech-driven region. Through the combination of an expansive alumni network and a focus on cohort group work, the Online MBA provides unparalleled networking opportunities in a remote setting.
