I am a Sophomore from Los Angeles. I love playing soccer, running, and going on drives, where I love exploring new places. I also enjoy spending time in the library, listening to music and socializing with friends. I will be interning at Ernest & Young next summer as an Audit & Assurance Intern.
What is one piece of advice you would offer to sophomores? Come with an open mind and ask all the questions you have on every major/class, its pathways, and even its pros and cons. Look to find the most authentic and honest thoughts from professionals, professors, and even fellow peers. Do not be afraid to try something out simply because of word of mouth or reputation, as you should do it because you truly want to.

I'm from Fremont, California. I interned with Deloitte in their audit practice over the summer. On campus, I am involved with GetVirtual, a SCU organization that works with small businesses to increase their digital presence. In my free time, I love to bake and watch movies and TV shows.
What is one piece of advice you would offer to sophomores? Do not feel pressured to finalize your major. It is perfectly fine and expected to change majors and interests throughout your sophomore and even junior year. Ask professors, students, and industry professionals about their experience in their field to determine what you want to do. Everyone is incredibly supportive on campus, and so are the professionals at career fairs. So, don't be afraid to ask questions! Who knows, it might help you get a internship or a job.

I interned at Pubsmith LLC, a restaurant ownership group, for the past two summers. Hobbies include pickleball, hiking, and going to the gym. I studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland, for Fall 2025.
What is one piece of advice you would offer to sophomores? Say yes to everything and push yourself outside of your comfort zone.

Summary: My name is Dillon Zielinski, and I am a third-year (will be fourth-year) Finance major in the Leavey School of Business and a Responsible AI minor in the School of Engineering at Santa Clara University. For the past two summers, I was a Research Investment Intern at Private Liquidity Partners, where I researched private-market investment opportunities, supported due diligence, and delivered presentations to firm leadership. Outside of my coursework, I love hiking, hanging out with friends, thrifting, working out, watching and playing sports, traveling, and playing strategic board games.
What is one piece of advice you would offer to sophomores? Pursue what you love, but prioritize your well-being. You can't reach your goals without the time and energy to sustain them.

What is one piece of advice you would offer to sophomores? Don’t feel pressured to have everything figured out this year. Use this time to explore, try new things, and even make mistakes as you discover what truly interests you. And remember you’re not alone. Reach out for help when you need it; there are people and resources here who want to see you succeed.

What is one piece of advice you would offer to sophomores? My advice to sophomores: go into the year with an open mind and learn as much as you can about all options given to you, every program has its own unique opportunities and all of them are equally as special and important to explore before making an ultimate decision on your major!

Summary: I'm from Honolulu, HI. I previously interned at Pacxa as a software developer and will be returning this summer. I'm also currently working with a local San Jose nonprofit to redesign and refactor their website. Outside of tech, I enjoy lifting, spearfishing, and cooking.
What is one piece of advice you would offer to sophomores? Give yourself room to learn, grow, and find what you truly care about. Work hard, embrace change, and make the most of every opportunity given to you. Above all, don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it!
