Thursday, 2/08, Virtual Winter Career Fair - Please register on Handshake, 2:00 - 5:00 PM
All Santa Clara University students and alumni are invited to attend our 2024 Virtual Winter Career Fair (all majors). At this Fair, employers are seeking to recruit students from ALL disciplines. We are excited to have you join us virtually!
Follow this easy 2-step process:
- You must register for the Fair on Handshake.
- Select employer group and/or 1:1 sessions to design your personalized fair schedule. Check back often for newly added employer sessions. No more waiting in lines!

Tuesday, 2/13, Diversity Works Expo – Please register on Handshake, 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Locatelli
Diversity Works Expo ‘24
We are thrilled to extend an exclusive invitation to you for Santa Clara University's Diversity Works Expo, taking place on February 13th during week 6 from 5PM - 8PM. The theme for this year is “Beyond Labels: Celebrating Intersectionality at SCU and in the Workplace,” and we will be awarding 5 students and 5 Registered Student Organizations with $1,000 award scholarships.
Upcoming Career Center Preparation Workshops:
Monday, 2/5, Resume Lab 2.0: Insights From a Technical Recruiter, 12:15 - 1:15 PM (optional until 1:45), Williman Room
For this resume lab, a Lead Technical Recruiter from Life360 will be joining us to share insights about effective resume writing with Assistant Director for Career Development, Vania Tong.
What you can expect:
- 1 hr of formal content sharing and workshopping (12:15pm-1:15pm), plus an additional 30 min of optional workshopping time (1:15pm-1:45pm) with multiple staff member support.
- To leave the resume lab with a tangible (digital) item - your new/improved resume draft!
- Strengthened understanding of what constitutes an effective resume
- Greater familiarity with using VMock, our 24/7 AI resume platform
- Increased confidence and tactical knowledge in resume writing to edit your own or your peers' resume
What NOT to expect:
- A 1:1 resume review session with the Lead Technical Recruiter
- Recruitment opportunities/conversations
In preparation for the lab, please:

The Week 5 Business & Entrepreneurship CASH will be held on Tues., 02/06/24 from 3:30 - 4:30 pm in the Lucas Hall lobby.
Stop by for a casual chat with Noël Kreidler, Associate Director - Business & Entrepreneurship, to have your career-related questions answered: no appointments needed! All career-related questions are welcome! Get prepared for the virtual career fair on 2/8/24 as well as other employer events this quarter. Still trying to figure out what major to choose? Learn about resources that can help you make a powerful choice.
Thursday, 2/15, Interviewing for Impact, 2:00 - 3:00 PM (optional until 3:30), Williman Room
Are you new to interviewing? This workshop is meant for students who have little to no experience interviewing for professional internships or jobs after graduation.
Effective interviewing takes practice. Don’t wait until the night before your big interview to prepare. Join us for the first of two interview workshops this quarter, and gain confidence in your ability to have successful interviews.
What you can expect from the workshop:
- Learn about behavioral interviews and using the STAR technique
- Discover free self-serve tools offered by the Career Center to support your interview success
- Begin developing and practicing answers to common interview questions during the workshop
- Walk away with a preparation plan so you ace your upcoming interviews!
We will provide 1hr of formal content sharing (2-3pm), plus an additional 30 minutes of optional interview practice time (3-3:30pm) with the opportunity to get coaching/feedback from staff members.
