Our Visiting Scholar Program has allowed many of our students to meet sociologists outside of Santa Clara. This year that allowed for eight separate visiting scholars who spoke in sociology classes. In addition we hosted Dr. Jeffrey Chin who worked with our faculty on our program review and we co-sponsored Dr. Ruha Benjamin and bought sociology majors and minors her books to choose from. Students then had the opportunity to get their books signed and to talk with Dr. Benjamin after her talk.
