Virginia Puccio is an entrepreneur and skilled Operations Strategist with an inclination to structured, strategic thinking from first principles. She loves mobilizing teams to solve complex challenges and has a broad set of experiences having worked at large companies, start-ups, non-profit organizations, ran her own business and coached rugby at the University level. Virginia is the Head of Operations at Standard Cognition where she has led a global team to build out a blueprint to advance artificial intelligence which allows consumers to shop using autonomous checkout. Virginia also volunteers her time to various non-profit organizations and is currently serving as Director of Membership & Engagement Services of the San Francisco Black-Jewish Unity Group as well as co-chair of the Community & Economic Development committee. She is a self-described activist advocating against racism, patriarchy, animal exploitation, destruction of the planet and broadly systems of oppression. Virginia holds a BA degree from University of California, Davis and an MBA from Santa Clara University. She is a life-long athlete, having played sports since she was a child including basketball, volleyball, softball, tennis, swimming, rugby, soccer, marathon and triathlon. Virginia is a native Californian and lives in the SF Bay Area.
