Includes works by Jane Kim (Ink Dwell Studio) and Sarah Bird (Sarah Bird Studio) that represent the coast redwood forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains in the wake of the 2020 CZU Lightning Complex Fire.
Presented in conjunction with a Day of Learning related to CZU scheduled for Friday, April 24 (in partnership with tUrn Week). The Day of Learning will feature panel discussions (with artists and people/organizations involved in land stewardship) hosted by Santa Clara University and the Learning Commons.
The exhibit will include approximately 10-15 pieces of art that represent redwood forests and fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains, inviting communities (including the Santa Clara University community) to remember, reimagine, and regenerate through engagement with local, place-based art.
