Posting and Distributing Non-library Materials

The Library is happy to provide a space for sharing campus information and events. To ensure our spaces remain clean and organized for everyone, please review our guidelines for posting flyers and other materials.

SCU affiliates can post flyers and other materials on the first-floor bulletin board in the learning commons, provided they contain information concerning programs, services, or activities sponsored by Santa Clara University or one of its groups. This space is exclusively for SCU affiliates and is the only authorized location for postings within the learning commons.

All posted materials must meet the following requirements:

  • The name and contact information of the SCU-affiliated sponsoring organization or individual must be included on the material.
  • An expiration date must be included.
  • Posters and flyers can be no larger than 11" x 17".

Unapproved materials or those that do not meet the requirements will be removed. All items will be removed from the bulletin board at the start of each week of term.

Solicitation and Petitions in the Learning Commons

Santa Clara University Library respects the privacy, comfort and security of its visitors. For this reason, the library does not allow individuals or groups to circulate non-library related petitions or to make solicitations unrelated to library matters within the learning commons. Distributing leaflets not directly related to library matters in the learning commons is also prohibited.
