Assistant Provost for Finance and Administration
Soniya serves as a liaison between the University Finance Office, Human Resources, and the Provost’s division. As part of her responsibility, Soniya facilitates the development and implementation of the University budget planning process, and supports the recruitment and hiring of staff within the division. She also conducts analyses and develops recommendations to support strategic and operational planning.
Before joining the Provost’s Office, Soniya served as a Cost Accountant at Infinera, a Silicon Valley telecommunications company, and as an Administrative Program Specialist in the Space Science and Engineering Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Soniya earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and her Master of Business Administration with an Emphasis in Accounting and Administration from Utah State University.
