The NIIMBL eXperience @SCU

SCU’s Department of Bioengineering and Healthcare Innovation and Design Program have a longstanding partnership with NIIMBL, the National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing in Biopharmaceuticals. With support from NIIMBL, SCU launched the Biomanufacturing Consortium for Analytics and Data Engineering (BioCAD) program in 2019 to inspire and prepare college students for careers in biotechnology and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The program leverages the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the San Francisco Bay Area and collaborations with industry partners such as Genentech, Merck, Biocom California Institute, and Pfizer.

Masters of Science in Sports Business

Built in close collaboration with premier professional sports organizations and global brands—including the San Francisco 49ers, Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants, San Jose Sharks, Nike, CrossFit and more—SCU's new MS in Sports Business Program exemplifies the Leavey School of Business’ commitment to impactful industry partnership. From the program’s inception, these collaborators have been instrumental in shaping the curriculum, identifying hands-on learning opportunities, providing executive mentorship, and providing real-world experiences that prepare graduates for leadership roles and careers in the evolving sports industry.

SCU - This is NASA Mission Control...

For more than 20 years, SCU's Robotic Systems Laboratory has had a continuing partnership with NASA Ames Research Center to provide professional spacecraft mission control services for more than 15 satellites. The SCU team is responsible for developing all mission control systems and software, controlling multiple communication and antenna tracking systems, and routinely contacting these satellites to run experiments and collect information that is provided to the NASA science and engineering teams. Partners on these missions have included several NASA Centers across the country as well as companies such as Axient, KBR-Wyle, and Lockheed-Martin.
