Kevin Reagan received the Alumnus of the Year Award at the May 14, 2025 Accounting Scholarship and Awards banquet in the Locatelli Center. 

Kevin recently announced his retirement as an Audit Partner with the accounting firm, RSM, bringing to a close a very successful 42 year career in public accounting.

Kevin graduated from Santa Clara University in 1983. It only took enrolling in one accounting course for Kevin to realize the career he wanted to follow. Kevin excelled in the accounting program receiving the Professor O. Robert Anderson Award for Most Outstanding Student in Accounting.

Upon graduation from Santa Clara University, Kevin began his career with Arthur Andersen LLP in September 1983. Kevin spent over 19 years with Arthur Andersen providing audit and accounting services to high technology companies ranging in size from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Kevin left Arthur Andersen as a partner in 2002, upon the unfortunate dissolution of the firm as a result of the Enron failure.

Kevin, along with most of the Arthur Andersen San Jose Assurance group, immediately found a new home with KPMG where he spent the next ten years as an audit partner, continuing to provide assurance and accounting advisory services to high technology companies.

In 2013, Kevin left KPMG and, after a brief stint with Grant Thornton, joined RSM in September 2014 as an audit partner. Kevin continued to provide excellent assurance and accounting advisory services to his various clients until his retirement from RSM and public accounting this April.

During his career Kevin has made a point to give back to Santa Clara University in a variety of ways. He has been a member of the Santa Clara Accounting Department Advisory Board for several years and served as Chairman from 2021 through 2023. He will continue to serve as an emeritus member of the Board. He has also served as a volunteer professor of accounting.

Kevin also served on the ACG Silicon Valley Board from 2016 through 2024. Additionally Kevin has served on the Board of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, having first served as Treasurer and then Chairman.

Kevin resides in Saratoga and has been married to his wife Mary for over 40 years. They have two wonderful daughters, Christina and Kaitlin.
