Majid (Nik) Tehrani is a Lecturer at Santa Clara University, where he teaches management and entrepreneurship. His research centers on business development strategy, technology commercialization, and the scaling of high-growth ventures.

With more than twenty-five years of industry experience, Tehrani also serves as an executive mentor and subject-matter expert at Plug and Play Tech Center. He has held senior leadership roles across health technology, electronics manufacturing, and engineering services. As co-founder and Vice President of Business Development at DynoSense Corp., he helped pioneer in-home vital-sign monitoring solutions. At Savitron, he built multi-channel distribution networks spanning the networking, medical device, and semiconductor sectors, driving annual growth above 30 percent for two consecutive years. Earlier, as Global Director of Program Management at Sanmina-SCI Corporation, he led operations across five countries for one of the world’s largest EMS firms.

Tehrani remains actively engaged with the startup ecosystem as an advisor and mentor, working with founders at high-tech incubators on scaling strategy and revenue acceleration.

He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Northcentral University, an MBA in Executive Management from Pepperdine University, an M.S. in Engineering Management from International Technological University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He has taught at universities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and internationally in Chile, China, Finland, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam. His academic contributions include two MBA textbooks, multiple accredited online courses, and more than forty peer-reviewed publications.
