Professor Gail Hutchinson Kirby, Ph.D.

Marketing Faculty, Retail Management Institute

Professor Gail Kirby is a lecturer in the Department of Marketing and a faculty advisor in the Retail Management Institute at the Leavey School of Business of Santa Clara University. 

Gail has designed and leads RMI's signature student field experiences to the Shoptalk conference in Las Vegas and to the annual Jill Curran Scholarship to the National Retail Federation (NRF) Student Program. She also has been central to expanding RMI’s curriculum through her Multi-Channel Retail Marketing class which represents insights into how consumers shop across channels.

Professor Kirby also teaches Principles of Marketing, Retail Studies Seminar, Environmental Marketing, Business Strategy and oversees Summer Internships. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and the American Collegiate Retailing Association.
