What have been the ways that sociology (and your experiences at SCU) has helped you in your work and life? Or What do you think are the most important things for students to learn to be able to do the type of work you do?

You will or I am sure that you have met a bunch of cool friends through Sociology or at SCU in general. Stay in contact with them, not because they're your network, but because it will be very rare to have another dedicated 4 years to make friends like them. And these friends are whom I share my ups and downs from work or life with. Go Broncos!

What advice do you have for current sociology majors who might be interested in your career focus? (What experiences would be good for them to be involved in while still an undergrad?)

Get involved in more technical aspects of sociological analysis and have some fun with school projects. That sounds silly, but one of my most memorable and nerdy projects was to sit at a Starbucks to observe and take notes for an hour every single week. I was amazed by the random and weird things that happened at a regular Starbucks and it definitely provided a different angle for me to understand and analyze circumstances, which is transferable to the workplace.
