Mr. Allen retired from Moog CSA in May 2021 after 35 years in the industry. His primary focus was in shock, vibration, noise, and design of vibration attenuation systems. Mr. Allen was the Head of the Test Department at Moog CSA for over 10 years and he, along with the Principals at CSA Engineering, developed many of the analytical processes, measurement techniques, and test systems that are used by Moog CSA today. Mr. Allen worked as a design and test consultant in his earlier experiences at CSA Engineering, and he provided services to power plants, off-shore oil platforms, U.S. military applications, and electronics fabrication facilities needing expertise in the area of noise and vibration control. In his later career Mr. Allen focused more in the area of space flight hardware while still focusing on solutions to vibration challenges.
Mr. Allen received his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University in 2000 and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1986. His graduate work focused in dynamics and controls. He currently serves as the Chair of the Mechanical Engineering Industry Advisory Board at SCU.
