Civil, Environmental and Sustainable Engineering Department Advisory Board
The Department of Civil, Environmental and Sustainable Engineering maintains a close working relationship with its Advisory Board. The Advisory Board was originally formed in 1996 and it operates in accordance with its bylaws. The Board comprises a diverse group of professionals from different disciplines within the civil engineering profession who work in consulting/design companies, public agencies, and construction companies. Several of the Advisory Board members are either current or past officers of the local branches/sections of ASCE, APWA, ACEC, and other professional technical societies. The Board provides critical input on undergraduate and graduate program curricular issues including the development and review of Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) and helps identify developing areas within the profession, and advises the department's faculty about expectations the profession has for entry-level engineers, and other activities designed to support enrollment and enhance student learning and professional readiness.
