HiveMinded Beehive Scale: Software (ENGR 110, Fall 2019)

Community Partner: HiveMinded

Students created a proof of concept beehive scale that would accurately measure the weight of the hive and transmit this data via Bluetooth to a website which would display the weight over time. Allowing HiveMinded to monitor the health of the hive and the bees within it. The designed solution was to use basic Arduino code that will move the hardware’s motor and take weight readings. Also, have Raspberry Pi code that will transmit the data from the Pi to a website for reading
