SWE++

SWE++ is a completely free, nine-week program that introduces middle school girls to coding through Scratch and Python.

Run by a committee of SCU Society of Women Engineers (SWE) students, our team teaches coding skills through weekly lessons that promote standard coding practices while encouraging students to express themselves creatively. After each session, students get the chance to speak with women in the industry and listen to their experiences navigating through STEM, providing students with positive role models to look up to. The program offers SCU students the opportunity to volunteer in a STEM field and to inspire the future generation of coders.
