Kendal's Bees

The students sought to provide Kendal’s Bees with a continuous power source for an in-hive bee camera location on top of Redwood City Public Library. The design calls for a solar panel, Raspberry Pi, charge controller, battery, and a waterproof case. As a result, a self-sustaining in-hive camera that uses solar power by capitalizing on the rooftop location of the beehive was created.
