Mission San Jose - Dominican Sisters

The project objective was to develop an irrigation system for a community garden that is sustainable and watered by one of the three wells on the San Jose Mission’s property. The students wanted to incorporate a submersible solar powered pump, which will pump water to a water storage tank. Delivery of water from this tank will be timed by a integrated timer. Because of the time constraints, the students were only able to estimate well dimensions, map the property, establish legal parameters, and estimate a budget for future development opportunities of the well.
