Loring primarily teaches First-Year Writing and Engineering Communications courses. She researches assessment, with a focus on critical information literacy, and has an emergent interest in AI literacy. With SCU’s Faculty Development team, she has led a new faculty cohort, participated in faculty learning communities, facilitated a reading group, and presented at faculty CAFEs. She enjoys cross-disciplinary collaboration, and has worked with faculty and staff members from various departments and campus units, including Engineering, the Library, the University Honors Program, and Academic Technology. She also serves as a Fellowships Advisor in the Office of Student Fellowships.
