Business of Wine: 2018

On May 11th 2018, FAI hosted the Business of Wine event and invoted a panel of various wine industry leaders to talk about their businesses and discuss the current ongoings of the industry. This time the event focused on sustainability within the wine and spirits industry.

  • Business of Beer: 2017

    On Friday, September 29, the Food and Agribusiness Institute hosted The Business of Beer. The night began around 5pm, after the FAI team had set up a stream of thirsty guests began to arrive. Along with them were the four panelists, Charlie Bamforth, Jennifer Talley, Dustin Vereker, and the well-spoken moderator, Craig Rashkis.

  • KitchenTown Conversation Event: 2017

    On Nov. 14th, 2017 FAI hosted a conversation with Rusty Schwarz co-founder and CEO of KitchenTown. KitchenTown located in San Mateo is a food startup incubator that supports innovators and early stage food companies by providing facilities to scale up production, industry expertise, and access to capital.

  • Mama Rwanda Film Screening: 2018

    On Jan. 17th, 2018 FAI held a screening of Laura Waters Hinson's film Mama Rwanda. The film tells a modern tale about two women who turn Rwanda into one of the fastest growing economies in the world. The film highlights themes of female empowerment, entrepreneurship, motherhood, ad sisterhood.

  • Impossible BBQ: 2018

    On April 20th, 2018 FAI hosted an Impossible BBQ focusing on the sustainability of the food industry especially highlighting the negative impacts of the animal agriculture industry and current protein options. Attending the event was Impossible Foods who showcased their product as an example of the current options in the marketplace.

  • Artisanal Entrepreneurs: 2017

    On April 26th, CFIE hosted a panel, tastings and networking event with local artisanal entrepreneurs. Attendees got to meet entrepreneurs like Green pea Cookie, 2nd Story Bakeshop, edible Silicon Valley, Frontier Snacks, and many more.
