Mark Tan

Mark joined Novellus Systems in 2000 where he has been working primarily in the fields of numerical modeling and experimental dynamics. Mark is also currently affiliated with the Novellus Intellectual Property Development Group, and teaches Novellus’ corporate training classes in vibrations and dynamics. Prior to joining Novellus, Mark was a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin where he worked in various roles on the development of civil and commercial spacecraft. Mark has also served as an engineering consultant in the medical device and heavy equipment industries, and a Pro Bono Attorney with the Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley.

Mark has BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University, and a Juris Doctorate from the Santa Clara University School of Law. Mark is a registered Mechanical Engineer in California and Hawaii and has been admitted to the state Bars of California and Hawaii.

Mark is a member of ASME and has been a member of the SCU Mechanical Engineering Advisory board since 2007.
