To Trace the Course of Wisdom

Archives & Special Collections (A&SC) invites you to view their latest exhibit, To Trace the Course of Wisdom: The Prophetic Spirituality of Sandra M. Schneiders Illuminated Through The Saint John’s Bible. It features donated materials from the professional papers and personal archives of Dr. Sandra Schneiders, the first tenured female professor at the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University. Highlights of Schneiders’ career document the emergence of key themes in her spirituality, and are complemented by stunning images from the Heritage Edition of The Saint John’s Bible.

Installation of this exhibit is the result of a major collaboration with Amanda Kaminski, a Ph.D. candidate at the Graduate Theological Union. She has worked closely with Schneiders and her papers in recent years. Amanda was instrumental not only in facilitating the donation of the collection to A&SC but also in developing the exhibit’s themes and selecting material that best represented each one. "There is no way we could have created such a beautiful exhibit that highlights the many accomplishments and honors of Sandra's career without Amanda," says Nadia Nasr, Head of Archives & Special Collections.

To Trace the Course of Wisdom is located on the 3rd floor of Learning Commons in the A&SC Gallery, and runs through March 17, 2017. Exhibit hours are 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily when the learning commons building is open (check calendar for closures).
