Mid Career Faculty
At the mid-career stage, faculty move beyond the initial establishment of their scholarly identity and expand their influence as mentors, departmental leaders, and recognized experts. The Office of Faculty Development provides tailored programming designed to support this pivotal transition, helping established faculty navigate new professional opportunities and challenges, and reimagine their long-term impact.
We foster a sense of belonging and sustained growth through our cura personalis-inspired approach, which integrates leadership development and strategic career mapping into the mid-career experience. This includes facilitating mid-career faculty cohorts and peer mentorship to foster community, partnering with the Center for Teaching Excellence to provide advanced pedagogical resources for experienced educators, and offering practical guidance for managing post-tenure milestones, sabbatical planning, and the transition to administrative leadership.
