Iris Stewart-Frey with the Environmental Studies and Sciences Department has received a $61,250 award from the California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc. to support her project "Central Coast Water Quality and Drought Resilience."
This project will have three components: identification of high-nitrate wells and analysis of GAMA database information; helping Central Coast residents communicate with agencies to assist in developing replacement water solutions; and community outreach and education about opportunities for public comment and how to obtain replacement water.
