A Midsummer Nights' Dream

By William Shakespeare

Director: Aldo Billingslea

Matinees on Mayer Theatre Lawn

October 30-31, November 6-7 & 13-14, 2021

A joyful explosion of vivid chaos for ‘the course of true love never did run smooth.’

Immerse yourself in an outdoor performance of Shakespeare's most famous romantic comedy. Love triangles, mistaken identities, and mischievous transformations ensue on the lawn outside the Mayer Theatre. Four love-drunk teens, escaped from the confines of oppressive traditions, caught in a dispute of increasingly magical proportions both budding and eternal. A troupe of well-meaning, woefully amateur actors, determined to put on a play against all odds for the court. The Fairy Queen and King at war, and one rogue spirit hell-bent on entertaining himself and causing as much havoc as possible. What could possibly go wrong?
