Assistant Director, Service & Spirituality
Sarah Jones Bonini, J.D. ’93, manages the Alumni For Others (AFO) program, spirituality events, and community service opportunities throughout the year including retreats, days of reflection, mass and brunches, and First Fridays. A proud alumna and Bronco parent, Sarah is also currently working on her master’s degree in pastoral ministries so she can achieve the Double Super Bronco status! When not attending Bronco sporting events with her Bronco husband, Griffin J.D. ’91, Sarah loves spending time with her family, going to the beach, hiking, and reading great books..
Senior Assistant Director, Social Media & Career Education
Megan Bradley M.A. '11 manages career education programs for alumni, assists with the SCU thought leader blog Illuminate, and runs the social media program for the Alumni Association including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Additionally, she is the program manager for SCU Switchboard. She is so grateful for the lifelong Bronco friendships she created as a student and continues to create while working in the alumni office. Megan loves all things outdoors including beach cruiser bike rides, street festivals, visiting the ocean, and music in the park.
Associate Director, Operations and Finance
Melissa Brotherton oversees all internal operations and financial functions for Alumni Relations, including improving internal processes and infrastructure, managing team-wide performance measurements and reporting, leading programs to advance campus partnerships, and overseeing customer service/relations. Melissa enjoys cooking/baking, scrapbooking, arts/crafts, home design, and spending time with her family and friends.
Associate Director, Marketing & Communications
Michelle Cwirko-Godycki '03 leads marketing and communications efforts for the SCU Alumni Association and is primarily responsible for marketing and communications strategies, brand integrity, the monthly Bronco Connect alumni eNewsletter, overseeing alumni email communications, the association website, and strategic campus partnerships. She is thankful for the opportunities her Santa Clara education has afforded her and values the strength of the Bronco community. Michelle enjoys backyard barbecues, water sports, and spending time with her family at Clear Lake.
Senior Assistant Director, Events
Rachaella Giannotta supports and assists in the planning and implementation of alumni Signature Events including the Grand Reunion Weekend, Vintage Santa Clara, and the President’s Dinner. She values the Bronco network and endless opportunities to connect and establish relationships. Rachaella enjoys meeting new people, hiking, fashion, and spending time with her family and friends.
Assistant Director, Student & Young Alumni Programs
Denise Ho is passionate about the student experience and transitioning graduates into engaged alumni. She coordinates the New Student Welcome program, Legacy BBQ, Life After SCU series for seniors, and a variety of student and young alumni events, including the Young Alumni Soiree. She loves the SCU community and enjoys sitting by the Benson water fountain. She loves spending time with her family and friends, watching Netflix, and a good cup of tea.
Assistant Vice President, Alumni Relations
Kathy Kale '86 is responsible for the strategic direction of the Alumni Relations office, the overall management of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, and the primary steward of the Alumni Family Scholarship program. Every day she feels blessed to work on our beautiful Mission Campus and keep our amazing Bronco Family connected to the University and each other. She also loves spending time with her family and friends, meeting new people, learning new things, and spontaneous trips to The Hut!
Customer Service Manager
Alma McChesney is responsible for key activities and programs that enable SCU alumni, parents, students volunteers, friends, benefactors, colleagues at other institutions, and vendors to be informed, involved, and committed to alumni programs and events, while receiving the highest level of operational support and customer service. Alma loves engaging with alumni and students visiting the Donohoe building. She also enjoys being around her family and friends including attending various music series during the summer and dancing.
Associate Director, Events
Maureen Muscat '91, MBA '99 leads the Signature Events team which is primarily responsible for large alumni events held on campus. The most significant of these is the Grand Reunion Weekend. She has wonderful memories of her time as a student at SCU and is happy to share that her closest friends today are those she met on campus over 20 years ago! Maureen enjoys good food, good wine, and entertaining family and friends whenever possible - the more, the merrier!
Senior Associate Director
Paul Neilan '70 joined the Alumni Office in 1978. He is responsible for the annual Alumni Association Graduation Picnic, Gianera Society class reunions, and assists with other association events and programs as needed. In his spare time Paul enjoys golf, organic gardening, rock climbing and spending time at his Maui vacation home.
Assistant Director, Chapters & GroupsMatt Peters ’15 works as part of the Chapters & Groups team, and manages 17 regional and identity-based chapters of alumni around the nation. He is responsible for being one of our regional experts, engaging with alumni, current parents, and friends of the University, keeping them connected to one another and to SCU. He is blessed to have made many lifelong friends at Santa Clara, and is thankful for the opportunity to serve the Bronco community. Some of Matt's passions include spending quality time with his family, playing pickup sports, watching collegiate and professional athletics, going to the movies, and helping others discover their passions.
Assistant Director, Chapter & Groups
Zach Plaza '07 works as part of the Chapters & Groups team, and manages 15 regional chapters of alumni around the globe. Keep an eye out for him at your next alumni event as he will be there, ready to meet you and connect you with other Broncos from your area! Zach truly identifies with the mantra "Once a Bronco, Always a Bronco" and couldn't be happier to be back on campus, contributing to the Alumni Association and serving the SCU community. Zach enjoys following his favorite Bay Area sports teams and spending time with his friends and family, especially his wife and their newborn son.
Director, Chapters & Groups
Jenny (Moody) Sullivan '07 leads the regional chapter engagement efforts for the Alumni Association. She is primarily responsible for advancing the strategic priorities of SCU through the development and coordination of specific alumni activities, events and relationships. She enjoys connecting Broncos to one another and the University through our shared passion for such a special place that means so much to all of us. Jenny loves spending time with her friends and family, while watching her son, JT grow (SCU Class of 2035!).

Maria von Massenhausen ’87 is dedicated to providing engagement opportunities for alumni, parents, and friends of the University through chapter programming and volunteer experiences. From a long line of Broncos, Maria loves to hear stories from your Santa Clara days. In her free time she is most happy following the Giants, walking the dogs, or spending time with her family and friends.
