Victoria Wenxin Xie is an assistant professor at Santa Clara University. She specializes in environmental economics, international trade and development economics. Her research focuses on understanding how climate change and other sources of environmental shocks affect the labor market, firms, and cities in developing countries and their impact on the global production process. She is also interested in answering policy-relevant questions using satellite data. Victoria received her PhD in economics from University of California, San Diego in 2019, her MPhil in Economics from Oxford University in 2013 and her BBA in Global Business and Economics from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2011.
