Whether it’s bringing solar-powered lights to classrooms in Ghana, treating post-traumatic stress disorder with virtual reality, delivering life-saving medicines to rural hospitals via drone, or designing houses that create more energy than they consume: most of the solutions that change the world come from engineers, and some of the best engineers in the world come from right here.

      Collaboration Makes It Happen

      Bioengineering and Web Design and Engineering seniors teamed up to help expectant mothers in remote regions get the healthcare screening they need with their device, MUMS: Mobile Urinalysis for Maternal Screening.

      • Lighting the Way in Rural Benin

        Following months of preparation, electrical engineering seniors Jacob Leatherberry and Nicolas Metais traveled to a tiny village in Benin to install their solar microgrid and bring light to 113 residents. And that’s when the fun began!

          Affordable Housing Puzzle Solved By Senior Designers

          When Habitat for Humanity needed help redesigning a proposed apartment complex to meet city building codes, they reached out to Santa Clara University’s civil engineering department and a trio of seniors took up the challenge.
