Advisory Board Profiles

Vin Dagostino

Vin D'Agostino is Renesas Electronics’ Global VP of Embedded MPUs, Energy Management Systems, and Information and Computing Technology. His undergraduate work was done at Stevens Institute of Technology in the EE department and his post graduate work was done at PINY in Computer Science.

His career has always been in in Embedded Systems, and has held positions in Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, and General Management. He is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Certified Agile Scrum Master. A died-in-the-wool Northeasterner, he moved to the bay area three years ago to join Renesas.

Before Renesas he founded and ran an engineering services company focused on Embedded Systems for 18 years. He has worked in the medical equipment field, smart battery technology, semiconductors, vibratory plastics joining, and electronic laboratory equipment.

He moved to the bay with his wife and teenage son. In addition to SCU's EE Department Board of Advisors, he sits on the advisory boards of ECEDHA, and the Heart New Play Initiative.

In his free time he enjoys playing the piano, woodworking, cooking, and cycling.
