Undergraduate Programs in Electrical Engineering and in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Small classes. Top faculty. State-of-the-art facilities. Research and internship opportunities. One-on-one advising. A wide variety of specializations. Our Bachelor of Science program has all the components to help you succeed.

Both our Electrical Engineering program and Electrical and Computer Engineering program include hands-on lab work which will give you a comprehensive view of the field, an understanding of how to solve problems, and a focus on modeling and abstraction that prepares you for a range of careers.

We offer technical electives in these following areas:

Required ECEN courses prepare students for a wide choice of electives, including Embedded Systems, Computational Architectures, Networks, Digital Signal Processing, Robotics, Mechatronics, Control, Alternative Energy and Power Electronics, Analog Electronics, Nanostructures, Integrated Circuits, Digital Electronics, and Hardware Security.

Our faculty's active research interests in leading-edge areas provide opportunities for undergraduate research and innovative senior design projects. And Santa Clara's extensive network of internships and co-op options throughout Silicon Valley gives greater chances to put theory into practice while at the University.

Top students often choose to stay for our combined B.S./M.S. program, finishing both degrees in just five years. We also offer a minor to complement other engineering programs.

Sustainable energy and electric power, signal and image processing, embedded systems, nanotechnology, and mobile, radio, television, and satellite communication. Where do you want your electrical and computer engineering degree to take you?
